Microphone audio works everywhere. System/tab audio is a Chromium-only capability right now — that's a browser limitation, not something we can work around, so we'd rather tell you upfront than have it silently not work.
Recordings download as .webm — it plays natively in every modern browser and uploads fine to YouTube, Slack, and most platforms. A small number of older editing tools may need a converter for other formats.
