What you get
Recordings download as a .webm audio file (Opus codec) — it plays natively in every modern browser and most media players. If you specifically need .mp3 for an older device or piece of software, you'll need to convert it separately; encoding directly to MP3 isn't something browsers support natively without extra libraries, and we'd rather keep this tool simple and dependency-free than add a heavy conversion step you may not need.
